Homework is one reason to ask for help. You might also be preparing for a course, trying to understand a process, or returning to an idea you last studied years ago. AI Tutor is being developed to explain the part that matters to your question and help you use the idea again.

The tutor in development brings together explanations, visual exploration, and practice. Choose a format that helps with the question; the pace and depth should reflect what you already understand.
- Text and editable voice input
- Ask a question, inspect the wording, and follow a readable explanation. Existing chat supports browser voice dictation; a dedicated voice-led tutor is still in development.
- Pictures that explain a relationship
- A diagram, graph, or labeled sequence can connect words to something visible. The planned tutor will use visuals to answer a specific question and keep a text explanation available.
- Interaction with a purpose
- Planned activities invite something useful to try: compare two examples, predict a change, or practice a small part of a skill. The interaction should help you explain what you noticed.
- Audio, video, and live conversation
- Spoken explanations, captioned short videos, and two-way voice tutoring are planned experiences. Live voice and video tutoring are not currently available. Text alternatives and playback controls are part of the design.

How does AI Tutor fit into Help.ai Learn?
Help.ai Learn brings together our learning experiences. AI Tutor is the conversational experience being developed within it, built around questions, explanations, and practice across everyday interests, practical skills, and formal study.
Is AI Tutor only for homework?
Homework help is one use case. The planned tutor also supports reviewing a topic, preparing for further study, understanding a practical question, or exploring an interest. Start with the subject and goal, then give the context needed for an appropriate explanation.
Which learning experiences are available now?
The learning catalog provides readable subject and skill guides, concrete examples, and ordered paths across math, science, Spanish, cooking, and investing concepts. The dedicated AI Tutor and its live media experiences are still in development; the guides do not provide course enrollment or certified assessment.
Can I start with a photo or a spoken question?
Photo and voice input are part of the dedicated tutor being developed. Existing Help.ai chat offers browser-supported dictation, which turns speech into editable text. Live two-way voice tutoring and video learning are separate planned experiences.
Can I get a hint instead of a full solution?
The experience is designed around the amount of help you need: a hint, an explanation of one step, or a complete solution with the reasoning. You can ask for more detail as you go.
Who is this for?
People learning for a course, a practical goal, or personal interest, plus parents and educators supporting learners. Background and readiness guide the explanation. Young-learner access and supervision remain planned; current account eligibility follows the Help.ai Terms of Service.
How should I use AI help for an assignment?
Use it to understand the question, review your reasoning, and practise the concept. Check calculations and assumptions against your course materials, and follow your school’s rules on outside help.
